Assignment #1 Icons
We had to create icons for different places or things that could be recognizable to anyone. I made an icon for rain, a bakery, coffee, and ice cream. We could only use shapes or lines, and it had to be in black and white. I think my icons turned out good and would be recognizable to anyone.
Assignment #2 Texture Gird
The objective of this assignment was to use thee pen tool to trace patterns and textures. The first row is textures. The second row expresses space in patterns. The third row uses value to express the patterns. I think I did well on this assignment it was challenging but now I feel comfortable using the pen tool.
Assignment #3 Color wheel
The objective of this assignment was to learn about the color wheel and to create one using an object that we trace with the pen tool. In my color wheel I used ducks and gooses like duck, duck, goose. However my gooses look like ducks so i guess they are just rubber ducks and real ducks. I like this assignment, I like the colors and I like my ducks.

This assignment was a pop art self portrait with a split- complementary color scheme.
This assignment was a pop art self portrait with a analogous color scheme.
This assignment was a pop art self portrait with a monochromatic color scheme.
This assignment was to combine all 4 of the pop art self portraits with the different color schemes. I like the way this assignment turned out however i wish i hadn't used so much yellow, orange, and yellow- orange.

Assignment #8
This assignment was to use typography to create and image. I made an image of an ice cream cone that has been dropped and is melting out of the word sprinkles. In my design i like the fact that when the ice cream and the cone is whole and together i used the entire word but when the ice cream is melted i only used letters. if i could change something i would probably change the word from sprinkles to something different like melting or something else.

Assignment #10
alphabetography
Assignment #11
This assignment was to use a song or poem and place it on top of a photo you took. I used the song Change by Carrie Underwood, which talks about how doing little things like giving some on 36 cents can show them you care and can change their world. In my photo I used has a jar of coins and coins making out the shape of a heart. I used leading lines, simplicity, and the rule of thirds in this photograph. I enjoyed this assignment and I think it turned out looking very good.
Assignment #12
In this assignment we had to find letters in every day objects and take pictures of them. I found letters in lamps, glasses, cords, ladders, weights, scissors, an umbrella, a toilet, and a tire. This assignment forced me to look at the world with a different perception; I didn't just look at things like objects but as letters. I like the way this turned out it is colorful and exciting it isn't boring black and white.
Assignment #13
This assignment we worked in groups to make an exquisite corpse. In my group I made the legs of our corpse. My portion includes a tutu, crayon legs, and saddle shoes. I like my legs but now that I look back I wish i did something a little more creative. Overall I didn't really enjoy this project, I prefer to work by myself and have control over every aspect of a design.
Assignment #14
In this assignment we were each given a career and we had design a poster about the career. My career is package designers. Packaging designers create packaging for products. In my poster I used the Z pattern starting at the imagine then going through the cardboard boxes and down the packaging designers and over to the pictures.

This assignment was to create an illuminated manuscript. my text is the song "Colors Of The Wind" form the movie Pocahontas. My illumination is supposed to look like the wind and leaves and nature. I liked this assignment and I like the way my illuminated manuscript turned out, but if I were to do it again I definitely would know what to do differently.
Assignment #16
For this assignment we were supposed to make a timeline of visual communications. I made a board game to illustrate my board game. I don't really like the way this turned out. I couldn't think of a unique and creative way to display the information so it just looks cramped and crowded.
Assignment #17
In this assignment we made a combination mark logo (a logo with words and a visual). I used a trombone, a cello, and a violin to make the letters J, C, and S for the Johns Creek Symphony. I like this logo. I think it is unique and creative. I am pleased with how i combined the visual and the text.
Assignment #18
For this assignment we had to make a letter mark logo (a logo with only text). I made a logo for Mimi's Flower shoppe. I figured most people would replace the i's with flowers so I decided to be different and replace the apostrophe instead. I made the text Mimi's pink to symbolized the flower; and the Flower Shoppe is green to represent the stem of a flower. I like my logo, it was hard for me to choose which one I liked best because I made 5 or 6 but I like the one I chose.
Assignment #19
For this assignment we had to create a stationary package which included a business card, a letter head, and an envelope. I created my stationary package for The Candy Shop. I choose the hot pink color because it was fun and candy like and there are circles with spirals in them to be like candy. i liked this assignment I think my stationary package turned out good.

Assignment #20
In this assignment we had to pick a social issue and create a poster for it with a portrait, a logo and a word. the social issue I chose is world hunger. my portrait is of a little boy that is hungry, you can tell he is hungry because he is holding a fork and knife. the portrait of the boy is red because red makes you hungry so if you see this and you think "hey i'm kinda hungry they must be starving i should do something about that." the background is gray to symbolize the innocence a hungry child has, and the word "starvation" is white to symbolize hope. My logo is an apple core, but i used figure/ ground because the bite marks on the apple core are actually profiles of a man and child.
